{January 27, 2017}   Taking a Leap of Faith:)


Good evening all,

A health journey is pursued by several different ways such as at the gym, at home working out, or simply taking in nature and surrounding yourself around beauty. What an amazing feeling to be one with nature and hear the birds chirping as my friend and I went up the hill. There are a lot of struggles that a person goes through such as me going through medical procedures and not being able to go as crazy in various hikes. However, the main thing in my mind was not giving up and nature helps giving you the push you need when you need the extra burst to finish what you started. When I was uphill walking with another friend and creating that buddy system, when both parties are on the same page everything gets accomplished by pushing each other towards the goal.

When you find a great workout partner, it reminds me of a saying, “teamwork makes the dream work.” Sometimes when you have not been consistent in the gym, you must always listen to your body and see how far you can go. Another thing I learned was when one of us got winded, no matter how far behind I found myself it only takes 3 feet from gold to make it to the ultimate destination which was to get to the Hollywood sign. It is also fun as you go on a nature walk with a friend that you are so positive that you attract people around you which is how we made friends even if it is just to capture the moment of making it to the top. This is very symbolic in such a way when you get out of your comfort zone and leap into anything whether it is a new venture, new relationship, new career, new hobby, new body, etc. then chances are that there are risks so in other words you reap what you sow.

When it comes to working out, the 20 mins you spend doing a home workout or 2 hours in the gym is compounded over time for you to reach the best and better you each and everyday. If your goal is to become a fitness model, be healthy and tone up, bodybuilder, etc. then chances are there are different routines you follow. Remember that everything takes one step to be determined and accomplish any body you want or really just anything you set your mind to. Being with nature makes me feel like anything is possible and every obstacle you face in life makes you stronger to become the best self you can be.
